Coverage

The Scribe of Orcus is a periodical produced in the style of old-school gaming magazines. The primary focus of this publication is to provide articles related to old-school games produced under the Open Game License. These games currently include Labyrinth Lord, OSRIC, Mutant Future, and GORE. We would also like to include articles related to the 4C System, which is a public domain game in the style of old rank-based superhero games.

Each issue of the Scribe of Orcus will usually range from 5 to 10 pages long, and be available in electronic format from our publisher partners. Articles may include new monsters, new rules, and any other topic related to the games of interest.

Submissions

Unfortunately, we are not currently taking unsolicited submissions. We will likely begin accepting submissions later in the summer of 2008, so watch this space for updates. When that time comes we will make writer’s guidelines and compensation options available.
